Argosaronicos Gulf

The term Argosaronikos includes and area formed from two different gulfs, the Saronic which is the gulf south of Athens and the Argolic which is the gulf on the west side of Peloponnese. These waters are popular tourist destinations in close proximity to Athens. The numerous possible stops offer their visitors memorable experiences that includes beautiful and & seascapes, impressive archaeological sites, museums, stately homes, picturesque villages and wonderful beaches.

Poros located within swimming distance from the east coast of Peloponnese, in the heart of the Saronic Gulf, protected from all kind of weather is a popular destination of all yachties. Wonder around the town, find your way to the clock Tower on the top of the hill, visit the Monastery and swim in one of the multiple beautiful beaches on the island.

The island of Aegina is only 15 NM away from Athens. The name Aegina derives from the mother of the mythical king of the island Aeacus who’s father was Zeus. The island has a long history and it’s famous for the Temple of Aphaea, Monastery of Agios Nectarios, Temple of Zeus Hellanios.

The island of Hydra is the cosmopolitan jewel of Argosaronikos Gulf. The birthplace of many greek heroes of the greek rebellion is now a cosmopolitan and elegant port, with old mansions and churches, wells and marble covered alleys, ready to have visitors from all over the world. Don’t forget to visit the Historical Archive museum of Hydra and taste the local cuisine

Spetses, where luxury and local tradition coexist, a favourite of captains and fashionistas, is the hometown of one of the most fearless heroine of the greek rebellion, Laskarina Bouboulina. Wonder around the narrow alleys, have a coffee in the port of Dapia, take some pictures by the statue of Bouboulina in front of the famous Poseidonion Grand Hotel before you visit Laskarina’s museum.

The castle state of Monemvasia or the Gibraltar of the East as also well known, is a located on the SE coast of Peloponnese. Built on the 6th century by Byzantines and still alive to this very moment, Monemvasia is a medieval well preserved castle state which will travel you back in time walking through the vaulted alleys.

The city of Nafplio, the first capital city of the modern Greece, is one of the most romantic cities of the country. The famous Bourtzi, Akronafplia and Palamidi castles add a sense of drama to this stunning seaport town, consisting of fortresses, neoclassical buildings, old neighbourhoods, wide sidewalks and large squares.

The port of Palaia Epidaurus, the name of which is connected with the Ancient theatre of Epidaurus, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, which you can visit by riding a taxi for 20 minutes away from the port. The nearby beach is offering an underwater treasure, the sunken ancient city which you can enjoy by just using your snorkels.
