Ionian islands

Ionian is the sea laying on the west side of mainland in Greece. There are seven main islands in this area and that’s the reason why Greeks are using the term Eptanisa (“seven”, επτά and “island’, νησί). Ionian islands are one of the most popular sailing destinations in Europe. Many different small ports, calm seas, good winds, perfect for nice cruises for novice sailors.
